My friend Rob and I have been on the road for last month or so. We wanted to move out of Philly to a new locale. We have been to Denver and Las Vegas so far and now we were on our way to San Diego. I was made on offer by one of my father’s friends to start a court-reporting firm. My father was John’s mentor and he had developed a rather large business. John and his partners wanted to expand it by opening a court-reporting firm. That is where I come in. I had at one time my own firm back in Philly and they wanted me to open one for them giving me a percentage of not only the court-reporting firm but his company as well. Once we landed in San Diego we were excited, there where palm trees everywhere and the weather wasn’t freezing like in Denver and there wasn’t any searing heat either like in Vegas. When we made it to the hotel the manager told us that the hotel was unable to honor our reservation because of a convention in town.
